The Gold Canyon Cafe is the "go to" in our house. We are a family of 5 and they have something for everyone. My kids are picky; they are always accommodating. From breakfast to dinner you cannot go wrong, I try something different every time I am there. They have specials that you cannot turn down, they try new things often, and the food tastes home cooked with large portions. They have had the same staff for years; it is nice to see they truly have a family feel. When we do eat out the Gold Canyon Cafe is where we go.
We stopped by for breakfast. Everything was very good. My daughter said the pancakes were the best she had ever had. The restraunt was clean and the service was very good.
Gold Canyon Cafe We were going to take a day trip to Globe and have dinner. It was still early but late enough we thought the construction past Superior would be over. We were wrong. We turned around and headed to this place though it wasn't going to be open yet. We had to wait a while before they opened. We were seated immediately. Our waitress at didn't seem to have much personality at first but she opened over the course of serving us. Fried zucchini? Hell yeah! Beer battered spears at that. I feel you get the best taste of batter and soft interior of zucchini when they are fried this way. The beer batter was thin and crispy. I'll take 5 more orders to go please! We both ordered the chicken fried steak. Good choice. There could have been a little more gravy but this was my only complaint. It wasn't the best, but tasty nonetheless and I would order it again. The food we saw coming out to other tables looked good as well. The French fries were okay. We'll definitely go back if in the area.
I wish I could eat here more. The staff is courteous, friendly, and fast. Very intent on pleasing. Every meal I've had there was delicious but I've locked in on my favorite, blt on rye with fries. I get it every time now. Never busier than they can handle. Check it out.

My husband has been popping in to the cafe for breakfasts while we are down visiting in the area and telling me how great it is…. So we finally had time to stop in together and I was so impressed! Atmosphere is great! They have the art/photography of a local artist on the walls for sale! I love that ! It definitely has that friendly neighbourhood cafe feel ! Our server was welcoming, cheerful, willing to share about the menu and items she would recommend in such a down to earth and authentic way. We had the Taco Salad & crazy amazing burger that I can’t remember the name of…. both were fresh & delicious! As other peoples food was going by, everything looked crazy good ! I think I might have to stop in for a Croissant Sandwich! What a gem of a restaurant! So glad I didn’t just let my hubby keep it to himself !
Let me tell ya. The food was amazing! Homemade biscuits, home made chicken fried steak and home made chicken fried chicken. All very delicious and we'll definitely be back.
We’ve eaten here for years! We have never had a bad meal ! Everything is delicious , breakfast , lunch , and dinner . They have large portions . No kidding !!! Fish Fry is exceptional . Breakfasts are my favorite. Love the home fries! Best eggs Benedict that our friends have ever had! People come just for their daily specials !!! Love the staff they are super friendly and fast! Highly recommend and so glad it’s in our neighborhood!❤️
Stopped by Gold Canyon Cafe and this place knocked it out of the park. Brandon was our server and he absolutely crushed it. Friendly, and made sure everything was perfect without being over the top. I ordered the chicken fried steak and man, it was crispy, flavorful, and smothered in gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly, exactly how I asked. The biscuit was straight up to die for. It was soft, and buttery. My dad went with the loaded pancake and that thing was massive and seriously bomb. Packed with flavor and definitely not your average pancake. Between the food and the service, this spot is a no brainer. Prices are a little steep but if you’re anywhere near Gold Canyon, you’ve gotta check it out. We’ll definitely be back.
